THE MINISTRY OF USHERS

The Usher is a person chosen to reflect the warmth and welcome of Christ himself. Always conscious of Christ’s words, "For I was . . . a stranger and you welcomed me," (Matthew 25:35).

The Usher's role is to offer a friendly, welcoming presence to those coming to worship; to provide leadership during emergencies; and to perform such tasks as taking up the collection, presenting the gifts, assisting parishioners during Communion, pass out  the church bulletin and participating in cleaning the church after completion of the Mass.

El Ujier es una persona elegida para reflejar el calor y la bievenida del mismo Cristo. Siempre consciente de las palabras de Cristo, " Porque tuve hambre y ustedes me dieron de comer; tuve sed y ustedes me dieron de beber. Fui forastero y ustedes me recibieron en su casa," (Mateo 25: 35).

Papel del Ujier es ofrecer un ambiente agradable, y acogedor a todos aquellos que vienen a la Celebracion Eucaristica; tambien proporcionan liderazgo en situaciones de emergencia; y para realizar tareas como recojer la colecta, presentación de las ofrendas, ayudando a los feligreses durante la comunión, pasar el boletín de la iglesia y participar en la limpieza de la iglesia después de terminar la Misa.
