God has the blueprint for our lives set out for us through His Word in the Holy Bible...  how we should act, what we should do, what we should not do, even how we should handle the money and resources he has entrusted to us.  Stewardship of money and resources is often overlooked, yet God has very specific instructions for us.

 The foundation for the study of finances can be found in Luke 16:11 :

“If therefore you have not been faithful in the use of worldly wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you?"

We often commit our lives to Christ, yet do not realize that finances are also included in this commitment.  God and His involvement in our finances is outlined very specifically as is the role we are to take.  God’s part is defined in I Chronicles 29:11,12 :

“Everything in the heavens and earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as being in control of everything.  Riches and honor come from you alone and you are the Ruler of all mankind; your hand controls power and might and it is at your discretion that men are made great and given strength."

God's faithfulness in His role can be seen in Psalms 50:15 :

"Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me."
