Council 3910 Activities

Throughout each year the council holds various dinners to raise money for charitable causes. Among the favorite activities are spaghetti dinner and fish dinners. The spaghetti dinners are held throughout the year. The fish dinners are held during Lent in lieu of the spaghetti dinners. The Council also holds Pancake Breakfasts and free Donut Sundays. Smoked Brisket sales occur several times a year benefiting specific causes each time. All such events are posted in the STM Parish Bulletin

One important ministry is the Food Distribution Ministry in which Knights pick up donated food items from several businesses and stores, delivering the food to food banks, Casa Juan Diego, and fire and police stations for distribution to the hungry. This is a 5 days a week 52 weeks a year exercise on a tight schedule.

An ongoing ministry is the care of St. Catherine Convent. Knights perform maintenance, repair, gardening, and engineering problems that arise. Knights also supervise a once-a-month clean-up crew of 10 or 12 Wal-Mart volunteers who clean and maintain the boundary just outside the fence of the convent.

Council 3910 sponsors B.S.A. scout troops and cub packs in the area. We are #1 (or close to it) in the nation for the number of units we charter.

The Council also answers various requests for aid to worthy causes.

The Knights of Columbus welcome parishioners to all of our events. Through your support the council has raised funds for many of the other ministries within St. Thomas More. Our council enjoys serving the St. Thomas More parish and invites other ministries to contact us for support of their efforts. We can host dinners or volunteer for events to help raise money for their cause.
